Finally got my A7's transmission sorted after months of rough shifts

I've been dealing with jerky downshifts on my 2016 Audi A7 for what felt like forever, and two different shops told me I needed a full rebuild without even pulling the pan. A buddy who drives an S4 recommended a place that focuses on Audi transmission repair and maintenance service, so I figured I'd give them a shot before selling the car. They ended up finding that the mechatronic unit had a cracked seal and the fluid was low, plus they did an adaptation reset through the factory software. It's been a few weeks now and the gearbox feels smoother than it has in years, all for way less than what the other places quoted. Has anyone else here had a similar experience where a simple fix saved them from an expensive rebuild, or did I just get lucky?
